Good Will Marine Units responded to the Delaware River on a sand bar just south of the C&D Canal for a Medical Emergency on a Boat. 18 Marine 1 launched from New Castle and made the response. Upon arrival, the crew made contact with the vessel and patient and began assessment. It was determined that the patient had a near drowning event and was transferred to 18 Marine 1 for transport to awaiting EMS units at the Delaware City State Dock. Upon arrival at the dock, the patient was transferred to Delaware City Volunteer Fire Company, No. 1, Inc., Station 15 and New Castle County Paramedics crews for further evaluation and treatment.
