The Seagrave Rescue 18-6 was placed in service in 1979 after being purchased by the company for approximatly $90,000. Origionally intended to be Engine 18-2, the company decided to identify the unit as Rescue 18-6 after recieving the first Amkus hydraulic rescue tool from the State of Delaware. This unit was in service from 1979 until 1995 when it was replaced by the Pierce Rescue 18.
