Ladder 18 First Due for a Small Kitchen Fire

In the evening of November 1, Ladder 18 was alerted on the box alarm for a Residential Fire in the Simonds Gardens. Ladder 18 made a quick response. Ladder 18 arrived just before Engine 22 and found a single story end of the group home with a smoke condition. The inside team quickly donned their masks and went in to inventigate while the outside team threw two ground ladders and provided a "c" side report. After investigating, the crew found a pot on fire in the kitchen which was removed to the rear yard. A primary was conducted and a fan placed in service for ventilation. The crew operated for fouchly 25 minutes befire clearing.
