Early on Friday Morning, Station 18 was alerted to a Commercial Fire Alarm at Nixon Uniforms in Centerpoint Industrial Park. While enroute, Fireboard advised that a call from the premise advised that there was possibly a fire in the building. The full box alarm was requested and Engine 18-2 arrived to find smoke showing from the roof and loading dock. Engine 18-2 established a water supply and stretched the 400' attack line into the building. The crew made a good stop and held the fire to the unit of orgin. Arriving mutual aid units assisted in getting a second line in service and completed the searches. The building eas ventilated and crews began an extensive overhaul process. Companies operated on the fire for over two hours before clearing.
