Pedestrian Struck with Fly Out

In the afternoon of February 26, Good Will units along with Minquadale's A22 and New Castle County Paramedics responded to a pedestrian struck in the Castle Hills community. Units arrived and assessed the patient and determined that the Delaware State Police Helicopter would be utilized to transport the patient. While the Ambulance was providing patient care,  Safety 18 and the crew of Engine 18-6 set up and stood by at the landing zone at Castle Hills Elementary School. Ambulance A22 and the paramedics transported the patient to the landing zone where care was transferred and the patient was transported to a local hospital via helecopter.
