First Due House Fire

Just before 11am, Good Will and mutual aid companies were alerted for a Residential Fire in Gene Ave in Castle Hills. Engine 18 and Deputy 18 made the response. While Engine 18 was laying out, Deputy 18 arrived and reported fire showing from the D side. Engine 18 stretched the bumper line and started to make a push. The crew encountered hoarding conditions and had to find another route to the fire room. Ladder 28 and Engine 205 assisted with making access for Engine 18 on the rear of the building. Engine 12 arrived and stretched an additional line that met Engine 18 in the hallway. The fire was brought under control in 20 minutes. Two residents were transported to local hospitals. Companies operating included E18, SQD18, TSU18, L28, E20, E12, L12, RE226, R14, E28, A17, A32, and NCC EMS.
