The fire comany participated in the Separation Day events again this year. Firday evening, members and career staff were standing by at the Craft Beer and Food Truck Festival in the Town Square. Engine and Ladder 18, Ambulance B18, and Kubota 18 were all in service for the evening as the memebrs interacted with the community and enjoyed the evening.
Saturday was busy as usual. The morning started out with the parade through town, led by the officers, memebers, and apparatus of the fire company. Joining the fire company this year were the members of the Camden County Police and Fire Pipes and Drums band. Following the parade, the memebrs switched into the roles of staffing the apparatus and working the fire prevention tent on Battery Park. In the evening, the officers and memebrs deployed apparatus and additional staffing for the fireworks. Throughout the day, Engine 18, Ladder 18, Kubota 18, Ambulance A18, and the BLS bike team were staffed. During the fireworks, Squad 18 and Engine 32 (Wilmington Manor), Brush Unit 29-1 (Port Penn), and Ambulance B18 were also placed into service.
Throughout the day, the crews handled a few minor medical emergencies, a small fire in a trash can, and response to assist Christiana on a house fire.
