Sunday Afternoon and into the evening, the members and staff responded to multople calls. It started off with a Water Rescue for a jet ski stuck on the jetty just North of Pea Patch Island. 18 Marine 1 responded and made contact with the operator and her child. Both advised they had no injuries. The ski was checked for damage and none was found. The crew removed the ski from the rocks and the operator was able to drive the ski away.
Later in the evening, the station was alerted for a Cardiac Arrest on the 600 block of Clymer Street in Dobbinsville. The Ambulance, TSU, and Chief responded and provided care. While the ambulance was initiatig transport, Ladder and Engine 18 were alerted to assist Station 28 on a residential fire. Ladder 18 and Engine 18 both responded and assisted with the investigation. The assignment was reduced to Engine 28 and Ladder 18. Engine 18 cleared the scene and returned to the station.
While returning, Deputy 22 was on the air and advised of a Motor Vehicle Collision at Basin Road and University Ave. Engine 18 made the response from the fire scene. Upon arrival the crew evaluated the scene and provided care to the occupants. Ambulance 28 responded and took over patient care upon their arrival. The crew controled the hazards and cleared shortly after, turning the scene over to Delaware State Police.
