Crews responded to the area of Buttonwood Avenue and the Norfolk Southers Railroad Tracks in Buttonwood for a reported fuel spill. Crews from Good Will and DNREC found a fuel spill that stretched 4 blocks of Buttonwood Ave. Hazmat 30 was requested. Personel on scene applied oil dry to the roadway to soak up the fuel. DelDOT was called in with a street sweeper to clean the roadway. Lafter in the morning, Ladder 18 was called to assist wilmington Manor on a Multi-Residential Fire. Upon arrival, units found unattended cooking in an apartment that filled the building with smoke. While picking up from that incident, another box alarm was alerted for the Walgreens on Ferry Cuty Off for smoke coming from a cooler. Units responded and investigated. An overheated element was determned to be the cause and the scene was quickly brough under control. Throughout the day, multiple EMS calls were also handled.
