ust before midnight on Tuesday, Station 18 was alerted for a rescue assist Wilmington Manor Fire Company on a House Fire with Entrapment. With the Squad being out of service, Engine 18 made the response. Upon arrival, the crew initiated a search along with other units for the trapped occupant. The crew from Engine 18 located and removed the occupant with the assistance of a member of Minquas Fire Company #1 Squad 23. Once the patient was in the care of EMS, the crew returned to firefighting duties. Overall, crews on scene battled a stubborn incident with exposure to the “D” (right) exposure and the garage and cars in the rear of the residence. Sadly, the patient succumbed to their injuries. Our thoughts are with those affected by the fire.
Other companies operating on the scene included Rescue Engine 28, Engine 33, Engine and Tower 12, Engine’s 20 and 22, and Ladders 17 and 13.
