In 1974, the fire company placed into service a Ford F350 Marine Rescue Unit with a utility body. The unit was later retrofitted with the cap and the rear was set up with additional rescue equipment to support both rescue;s on the Delaware River as well as flood and ice rescues. The unit was sold to the Wilmington Fire Department in 2001 when the current Marine Rescue Unit was placed into service.
